Drama at NUIG

There was a heated standoff between members of the Burke family and Gardai at NUIG in the past hour. Two stalls were removed from the area known as 'the concourse' following Gardai being called after a poster was removed from the stall by a bystander.

Comment on the matter was refused by the members of the family, while a senior member engaged in a heated discussion with members of the crowd.

Jenny is seeking participants who will complete a questionnaire about their music listening habits. Jenny explains: “We hope to understand what benefits people get out of music, and how we can use listening to music to improve well-being. We are especially interested in how music listening could be harnessed to improve the well-being of older adults”.

IMDB: Having just entered puberty, bride (Dilan Aksüt) had been forced to marry with groom (Ilyas Salman) whom returned to his hometown after doing many years of jail time and more than fifty years older than her. At first she was afraid, she cries, even resists, having equipped with patchy and second hand sayings, she did not know what is going to happen to her. Sitting in the nuptial chamber with horror, she will start to face with realities after grandfather-aged groom steps into the room.

Screening will take place on Thursday March 6th at 8pm in IT250 in NUIG

"I am very pleased that I have had many opportunities during the past year to attend student events and I congratulate you on the contributions you continue to make to developing a vibrant campus.  I encourage you all to avail of the many opportunities to enrich your student experience within your academic spheres and through clubs, societies and volunteering activities.  I am pleased by the consideration shown by the majority of students to their neighbours in the communities where they live and regret that we are still dealing with a small number of instances of anti-social behaviour. 

I would like to remind students that the student leadership and University authorities have agreed that rag week will not take place and that any use of social media to organise, support or contribute to social events associated with the concept of college week/Rag Week as well as behaviour that would bring the University name into disrepute are examples of breaches of the code. 

Regrettably, in 2013 several students were disciplined for breaches of the Code of Conduct during the month of February.
